Mary Gillespie has been a veteran of the cosmetology industry since 1986 and well versed on many levels of the discipline. Holding three California licenses gives great depth to her knowledge and experience. She has performed hair and skincare services in multiple settings. Mary taught many years in the San Francisco Bay Area as the Head of the Esthetician Department, opening many doors for her students. She has had the opportunity to travel nationally for a leading manufacturer, training estheticians, doctors and their staffs on the use of glycolic acid. This provided invaluable experience, as she went on to structure a successful skincare department for a metropolitan dermatology office. Her current business formulates result driven skincare products for customers who want to see a difference in their skin instead of the status quo. This new approach has launched popular one of a kind products with multiple uses.

Everyone has had a problem with his or her skin that may have been corrected by time or a doctor. The skin care industry has offered many formulas and preparations, along with hopeful words of improvement. Experience with these remedies proved only the "hopeful" words true until "cosmeceuticals" came onto the market. Cosmeceutical is a word describing a satellite group of products that do not fit the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) definition of a cosmetic but have not been submitted as a drug. The definition of a cosmetic is a product that sits on the surface of the skin, powdering, massaging or beautifying. The product may not enter the skin or change the skin's structure; if so, it becomes a drug. Aging is the skin's structure breaking down and acne is the structure not working properly, making previous products ineffective for these common conditions. Cosmeceuticals do enter and change the skin's structure but the FDA does not consider them to be a drug.
